The lesson of Beauty and the Beast was leaving someone to make someone else feel better (Belle left the Beast to comfort her father) , and defend the people you love, (the Beast knocked Gaston off the roof of his castle to defend Belle because Belle didn't want to marry Gaston, because Gaston is too arrogant and conceited.)
