Grandma missed Kioni. We were going to Skype Grandma at 7:30pm today, but when daddy set the time up with Grandma, he forgot that we have to go get dinner. So we went out for dinner, feeling really bad about missing talking to Grandma.
When we arrive at the 'western' restaurant, we saw people getting online with their own laptop computers. It just happened that daddy still has his computer with him from teaching his class. We asked the waiter, he said there was no wireless internet in the restaurant. Strange!
Daddy decided to give it a try, and lo and behold, we got Grandma online Skyping with us! Kioni was so happy to see Grandma's face that she dominated the conversation for about 15 minutes, until daddy's old computer battery gave out.
China is different now, my friend, Skyping Grandma in the U.S. can be done easily in a restaurant, try that 5 years ago.
