What Kioni does these days are quite fun. In the morning she gets up at around 7:00am, jump into our bed and play for a while, then we will make breakfast together, which means she will scoop oatmeal, pour milk, and anything she can do. After breakfast, we will read the bible for a while, then its time for Kumon (as you can see from the
photos). She was not able to complete the five-page Kumon assignment since we arrived in Cebu, I thought she is losing what she has learned. However, after we have this small white desk made and put in her bedroom, so she can do Kumon with air-conditioning on, she has been able to complete all five pages without any problem. The heat is affecting her learning also! After Kumon, we will eat some snacks, then she will draw a bit. We inherited this great white board from Roger and Lan, fellow missioanries who are retiring in a month.
She also loves to have ribbons put onto her hair these days, just like the girls in "The Sound of Music", I only have a few ribbons, but she loves to match the color of her clothes with the ribbons, so I need to find ribbons of different colors. After I put the ribbon on her, she would stand in front of the mirror and look at herself for a while, a TRUE girly girl.
By the way, we just got that beautiful hop-scotch rug, it is well suited for the Cebu weather, it is thin, has a rubber back and can be washed with a hose. She loves it.
